Game Industry

Gaming Industry has been growing to an unprecedented level over the past 20 years. From the simplest Tamagochi pet playing style to Oculus Rift, the growth of game industry has made such a huge impact in shaping our world today.

1st I want to start off with the disadvantages of gaming:
- Complete waste of time (people can spend hours doing nothing but playing games) but as with anything right?
Well there it is. The BIG no-no in gaming.

The advantages of gaming would be:
- Learning history of the world. As with all game developers, they tend to stay true to the history and culture of the world (with a little action-pack spice in it of course :p). Playing assassin creed unconsciously made me curious of the real history from the Abbasiyah Empire, the (real!) Pirates of the Caribbean, The Rise and Fall of French Empire, and The Rise of the American Revolution. Well isn't all history is added a little spice to make it more interesting?

-Watchdogs: A game where you can do all sorts of things using your Iphone or Android. As crazy at it seems, looking at it in a Electronics Engineering perspective, that thing is doable.

Remember that the people who develops game are human too. Games are made from different aspect of real life. Games can also teach people too. But nonetheless, too much gaming can be a waste of time. What I want to emphasize is using the knowledge that you get through games in real life. Strategics, Economy, Military power, combat strategies. All of this can be useful if we look at games the right way.

In developing games we need of course:
- Good story
- Good technology
- Good lesson to emphasize in games
- Good character design
- Good gameplay
- Awesome scenery

So does any readers have what it takes to develop games? It is a pretty good industry and can make a lot of money.
