During my study in foreign country, I have had the opportunity to meet Dr Rezaul Hasan, an expert in the semiconductor industry. In Malaysia there is a semiconductor company that manufactures semiconductor product. These product includes:
Basic electronic components:
Resistor
Diode
Capacitor
Integrated circuit
Higher end product such as:
Motherboard/CPU
Graphic cards
Computer related product
These industry was founded by Texas Instrument. Integrated circuit has many many many uses from the most advance to the simplest application such:
Various type of gates
Various type of chips with wide range of application from phone, computer to the IC of high tech military usage laser guided missle, heat seeking missle, unmanned aerial vehicle . The most simplest semiconductor can create the biggest things.
Not forgetting custom made IC for disable person usage of computer, camera for security system. How the world is so much integrated with our dependent on this tiny thing.
For our context of how to apply this to further improve our beloved Malaysia, I have no idea. As the semiconductor industry is so large.
