Perks of living alone

It's been a solid good 2 month I'm living alone now. Things are not as bad as some people might think. I used to live in boarding school, college, uni and stuff but never really did i ever been alone. I was surrounded by friends most of the time in my life and now it is time for me to find and carve my own path. Here are 3 (in my opinion) perks of being alone.

1. Time move slower

Travelling through time? No, its just that when you live alone and nobody is telling what to do, you start to think for yourself and observe your surroundings. Flying birds, moving trees (nope not treebeard), sound of the ocean all seem to be noticed. That is when time move at your will.

2. You get to step back and and look at things from an overall perspective

Whether it be politics, study, work, or community, without having someone to constantly propagate message through your head, you get to experience an alone time with your thoughts and mind. In psychology it is easy for a person to be influence by external factor (media *cough*). You get to debate with yourself on certain things or issue and it will lead you to your own understanding of a certain topic. Exercise for the brain.

3. You start to think that life is more than having fun.

When you are alone, you start to reflect about the important things in life. Its not about having big house, fast car, or even a fancy party. Whether its about giving back to the community or making other people happy, you yourself get to choose what life path that you want.

Thank You!

I met Justine Flynn at an entrepreneur event called The Entourage in Auckland, New Zealand last summer. Actually i went there with my friend Habib too. We got all excited to meet and share people our opinions and idea at the entrepreneur event. They were a lot of key speakers and the one that capture my heart the most was this lady over here. She co-founded the brand ThankYou water. A water company that uses 100% of their profit to provide clean water (by building filtration system) to Cambodia.

This is just the one of the amazing people that i met in my life that i feel like it is worth sharing to you readers in a hope that it will inspire yourself to want to make a change in the world (or your own country) as it had inspire me to start my own entrepreneurial journey. We need to have the right attitude and determination to drive ourselves forward. Here is the coverage on the company and Justine Flynn's experience in changing the world.

Jigsaw

A country is like a jigsaw puzzle. Each individual pieces represents each individual people in a country. In the journey of life each pieces will try to find a place where they belong. Like for example different colours and patterns will attract the pieces that fit together. We solve the jigsaw puzzle by solving tiny and small pattern 1st. Once the group are big enough, then different parts of the puzzle can be fitted together. Once we know where we fit in our country that we can truly understand what is unity.

Same thing is also applied in building a star-up company. I'm proud to say that at the age of 22 in my life, i started my own company. It started from me and my co-founder, Mimicry. If you readers would like to see the background of our company, feel free to go to our website.

It is exciting and scary at the same time to create our own company. It started out as a dream. But then we decided to turn our dream into a reality. It is the same as the puzzle metaphor above. Like minded people attract each other. Once we attract each other, we gotta start to think to make a difference. To start something real. Follow our adventures, our success (mostly failures xD) but you only need to be right once.

I think at the end of the day entrepreneurship is about taking risk for things that perhaps seems illogical to the outside but to the person, to the entrepreneur themselves is logical. And i hope that readers can do get in touch with me to help each other to win. It is very important to share our knowledge, experience and attitude to better ourselves in this entrepreneurial journey.

After a long month of research, gaming, drinking coffee, more gaming, I have finally finish my degree. Well finish studying. All those 4 years of endless assignment, reports, presentation, sleepless night has finally come to an end, alhamdulillah!

What do i get? My graduation is not until April so what did i get? What did i learn from all of these? I just acquire myself a piece of paper (well will) that says i finish my study as an electronics engineer but seriously what do i learn from all these?

For all dear readers, take a step back and ponder upon this video. The last part where the CEO of Liquidity explains what is entrepreneur and the biggest obstacle that individual faces.

Dear Malaysian on the 29th and 30th August,

Don't do something you will regret later on.

There is a time and place to express your anger and frustration. Act accordingly is the best way to do it.

A few weeks ago I got into a huge fight with my roommates over really small stuff. I wasn't always like that. I have a tendency to burst out when I accumulate stress in myself for a long period of time. It is NOT a good thing. With my weakness, I scolded my roommates and creates an eerie situation of discomfort among my friends. Long story short, they helped me to control my anger. I thank them for that. But in that situation I have said (words) and acted (action) in which I really regret. I hurt their feelings. I acted out of control. And nothing good came out of it. It's these sort of situation that can worsen an already bad situation. If you guys are reading this, I personally thank you guys that are willing to cope with my weakness. I am truly sorry.

Imagine my situation on a larger scale. It is easy to be angry like monkey and start trashing, destroying public property in the name of justice. In the process people are going to get hurt. Please refrain ourselves from acting solely based on our emotion (this includes myself too).

In my previous post, I have emphasize that amplifying a problem is NOT a solution.

"Anybody can become angry - that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way - that is not within everybody's power and is not easy."
-Aristotle-

Read my previous post about creating a solution rather than talking about problems and amplifying it.

First of all, Selamat Hari Raya, Happy Eid Mubarak to all the Muslim readers who has stumble upon my blog. My name is Vmos and this page is about generating new ideas and looking at current issues on my own personal perspective.

This post will be something different. We took a deep breath towards the issue bombarding Malaysia right now.
Let's not lose sight of the current issues:
1. TPPA from the Unites States of America involving 11 Asean country.
2. 1MDB scandal
3. Future of Malaysia

On this post i would like to talk about cyber security. Do you guys know what a hacker is? A hacker is a someone who "hacks" other computer either for personal use, work (in security) or just plain evil. I am taking Implementation of Cyber Security Management at my university and it is really really interesting.

I would like to emphasize on a certain issues. Have you ever heard of people getting kidnap in Malaysia? Like kids playing at the playground and got snatch in a white van? Do you know what they do to the kids?

Here is the answer. Child Pornography. I am not making this up. This is a serious issues and it has plague our nation. These child will be taken to (Allah knows where they are) someplace and be forced to participate in sexual activities in which I am never ever going to describe. So much horrible. The kids of Malaysia are at risk of subjecting  to human trafficking.

Sometimes these kids will be sold and bought by people around the world. Sometimes as sex slaves, slaves, child labor and all sorts of growing problem. Man this post is really really scary even when I'm writing it. And the place where these kinds of place are taking is withing the deep underground of the internet called The Deep Web.

On The Deep Web you can find drugs, weapons for sale, human trafficking, all sorts of really crazy stuff down there.

Disclaimer: You may search a little more on the Deep Web using google. But the only way for you to get "below" there is to use proxy software to hide your own IP. This may be dangerous to people who are not computer savvy. Do not try this at home

But it is still important for readers to know about all this stuff. Sometimes real crime are always associated with cyber crime.

So what do we need? We need good hackers. We need good hackers who is willing to fight these people in the underground world. We need hackers who has a social conscience that things like child pornography and drugs selling on the internet is wrong and they must be curb.
